In an interesting coincidence (or maybe....JUST MAYBE....gawd led me here?)

I was working at the zoo today (I do behavioral research for them) and watching a female elephant, recently liberated from a circus and brought to us for ''retirement." She was waiting in the demonstration yard, for her ''mani-pedi" and wandered over to the pipe-drinker. She filled her trunk about ten times and sprayed the water forcefully into a hole she dug with her trunk. (Over 40,000 muscle pairs in that trunk, by the way!)

Anyhow, once she had as much water as she wanted, she began STIRRING it, creating a grand mud-puddle. Then, she had a great time, flinging it around on herself, on the walls, in the air--she was obviously playing.

Sweet to see. I was laughing out loud. Elephants like mud!
