Calling people?

Does anyone call and hope the person you are calling doesn’t pick up? Whenever I call I get an odd feeling and hope the person does not pick up

I rarely call anyone unless it's a business or my mom (that is too old school to text).

Once in a while I'll have to call a client and I'll have to prepare beforehand as if I don't know how to talk.

I rarely call anyone. I text and I answer if my kids or dad calls.
