Growing up, Saturday was laundry day and on Sunday we would have to go to church. That wasted the entire weekend. Unless it was during the summer, then we would go to the beach every other Sunday. Now, Saturday is fun day (beach, festival, museum, etc) and Sunday is laundry day and yard work. Happy Sunday y'all. Edited to reflect correct spelling (don’t want anyone having an aneurysm)
Haaa... usually chilling from the night before. Saturday is live music, beer and talking to strangers. Not last night. Not feeling that hot anymore. So this Sunday is only chilling and waiting to get back to work, which is the one thing that keeps my wheels spinning.
@MissKathleen thanks, I hope so too. Exercise keeps me feeling a lot better and I had to skip it last week. I'll try to get back on track this week. You too have a great week !!
Being retired, Sunday is pretty much like any other day, except if I want to go out, I try to avoid the high traffic areas where the weekenders go- with one exception; when my bike riding buddy is gone RV traveling, I sometimes feel safer riding my mountainbike during times when I know there will be more people on the trails. One never knows what catastrophe is waiting around the next hairpin turn, and knowing there are other riders out there is somewhat comforting.
I go brunch. Watch Premier League, then NFL, then a nap, and then who knows.
First and foremost I praise, worship, and glorify my Lord and personal Savior, JESUS CHRIST! Then I pause and remember I don't believe in Jesus Christ so I feel kinda silly and I take back all the praise, worship, and glory I just offered him, scratch my ass cuz it itches and then go out and mow the lawn.
Unless it's raining then I'll just go back inside and download some porn.
Usually laundry, vacuuming, pulling weeks, sleep, and a few hours online (agnostic.com)
i use Sunday to start getting stressed about the return of the workweek. mostly kidding, i love my job. i know it's backwards, but I'm still learning how to fully enjoy my Sundays w/o feeling that kernel of regret, like how i feel at the end of summer when there's a whiff of autumn in the air...nostalgic for summer because i know WINTER'S COMING.
Check people out of the BnB, clean, laundry, go to my Buddhist group, make tea, work on consulting jobs and NOT waste time on Agnosticdotcom
Hike if weather/time permit
Go to Chik I'll Fate.
Huh??
@helionoftroy whaaa?
Sunday is usually a work day. If not there's usually family stuff to deal with.
I try to make sure I have something to do on Sundays. It must be the most incorrectly named day in Ireland. It is just about never sunny. It is a dull, depressing day. I'm glad when Monday comes and the world is busy again. I don't want to join them, though. I just want to use the facilities (no, not the toilets, I mean the library, café, etc.)
Laugh at the silly blue laws here that say I can't buy beer or wine (but not hard liquor) until after noon, unless I were at a restaurant - then I could have a Bloody Mary in the AM if I wanted to.
Fortunately, church never occupied any part of Sunday as I was growing up. I usually have things I want to get done on the weekend but no fixed pattern if it is Saturday or Sunday to get them done. It helps that my work schedule is every other Friday off to get more days for weekend stuff every other week.
The usual "chores" as it were for the weekend.
Bake bread
Ride my bike
Groceries for the week
Laundry / Housecleaning
