I hope not. I hope a new version of Bernie appears and Bernie backs that person. There needs to be fresh blood on the left.

I would love to see someone run who is at least closer to my generation and not a career politician. However, if not, he would be my choice.

I love Bernie but absolutely hope he does not attempt to run. We are in pretty dire need of young blood and there are too many old school folks who are too invested in "politics as usual". I think a huge number of Republicans now think electing Trump was a monstrous mistake but he was elected by people who did not want politics as usual. The smartest thing the Canadians did was to elect a young, smart guy like Trudeau. Not Bernie and not Hillary but definitely NOT Trump.

The DNC blocked him when Hillary ran, and they recently passed a law that any candidate on the Democratic ticket has to be a registered Democrat, specifically to block Bernie.

If he runs on an independent ticket, however, he'll just be giving the win to the GOP.
