Typical Trump. He does not want to tell the truth about his own behavior, but does not want to be caught in an outright lie, so he dodges the question.

When Trump thinks he is right he talks on and on in ways that would purger him. When he feels that the info at hand could incriminate him he usually changes the subject or at least avoids it.
