King County (Seattle) taxes pay for Eastern WA roads, hospitals, clinics, schools, police and fire protection, in fact, everything.

For 30 years, Eastern Washington extreme, right-wing Republicans have been unsuccessfully calling for a separate state called "Liberty." Delusional.

What I have in mind is a requirement that one pass a civics test before being allowed to run for office.

Well maybe not such a bad idea..maybe it should be a government requirement all religious live there. There are a bunch of gun worshippers and other dickwads who want to split off Western New York State from the rest. That would really suck! The only way I would go for that is if we got annexed to Ontario, CA.

I'm for a 52nd state by splitting Illinois on the north and south sides of Route 80. That's the only thing that will save us downstate Illinois people from fiscal bankruptcy.
