A counter-argument to pro-lifers:

To those pro-lifers who focus on h assertion, “Life is sacred.” I say the following. You also say that God created all life. Therefore, all creations of God are sacred, not just human life. are sacred.

Realities of biological life show problems with that reasoning. All up and down the chain of life, from microbes to humans, organisms kill and eat other organisms in order to survive and reproduce. Some organisms, particularly some mammals, kill others so as to achieve or maintain social and/or mating status. Some mammals even kill their offspring from an urge to to bring their mate back into osterias. Humans kill each other in war, out of anger, and even for no reason.

This does not present an image of sacredness of life. And one cannot dismiss this fact by saying that it is simply part of God’s plan. Either all life is sacred, or it is not. Therefore, I say to those who assert that human life is scared, the evidence of life ad reality indicates you cannot say that human life is sacred or that Gold intended it to be so with evidence or logic. I do agree that we should not senselessly kill any organism or take any action which would increase the likelihood that an organism would die without reason or which withholds care ad sustenance necessary to maintain life.

"You say all life is sacred? Stop taking those antibiotics, you bloody hypocrite! And stop eating meat and vegetables while you are about it!"

"Life is sacred" is such bullshit. If something is sacred then it is unquestionable and not to be challenged.
Death challenges life every second ie death does not consider life "sacred". Land clearance which destroys life is quite common, not observing the sacredness of "life" there are we?
Perhaps you are only talking human life, which is quite narcissistic and psychopathic on humanities part ie more to "life on Earth" than humans.
Life is precious, but saying it's sacred is cods wollop.

If Christians believe Human life were sacred, we wouldn't have thousands of years of blood-soaked history to look back on. The Holocaust provides the most infamous example where Christians not only targeted the Jews, but then ridiculously claimed to denied ANY responsibility. Now they are back at it, providing guns and propaganda to murder their victims.
