Well said. That is the biggest thing wrong with Libertarians and conservatives, that, unlike most of us as far back as kindergarten, they never learned how to share, and to appreciate and accept fairness between people as being important. Having said that, I personally despise the term or label liberal, because I see it misused for or claimed by way too many people who are only "liberal" on issues of identity politics and culture war issues. These same people don't care a whit about economic justice, economic inequality, fair taxes, endless wars, etc. and are just fine with the status quo of American capitalism. To me, they are liberal in only a very selfish, self-serving way that furthers their own personal interests, such as gay rights, separation of church and state, or environmentalism, but nothing to change the rigged system of who is exploited and who gets and stays rich and holds all the power in the system. Thus, I prefer better labels, like socialist or progressive, for those who are lefty across the spectrum on issues, and something else, but not liberal, for those who are conservative on all things economic and liberal or lefty on everything else.
Because otherwise, they are able to pretend to be on the opposite side of where they are in the class war, which, next to climate change, is by far the most important issue of our time. And by my standards and definition of liberal, those people are anything but liberal, as they are very selfish, tho not morons by any means...
