I really miss Thailand where everyone is tolerated without any nastiness. You trans/ gay? Great! Nothing special, get over yourself. Some people don't like your lifestyle? Dickheads everywhere so get used to it, everyone has to deal with that.
All for live and let live but this debate, if one was allowed, has been highjacked by radical and extreme views by both sides. "Pete" seems to me to be one of these shit stirrers from the language he uses.
My opinion? Pronouns and ID alternate genders is just crap eg take a feminine languages like French...........alternate pronouns just confuses the shit out of everyone and is grammatically ridiculous. ID wise I mean really, how accurate do you want censuses to be? Town planning/ schools will need to cater for how many fluid needs? International travel and tickets?
Discrimination laws should apply equally to all individuals, totally agree. Children are individuals too. But having one side screaming that all trans/ gays/ alternate types should have no contact with their "people" is not loony enough it seems. As the only acceptable response from the radical nutters on the other side is everyone must accept anything an individual demands regarding identity. They are as bad as each other.
Like I said, I miss Thailand where this is a total non issue society wise (bit of official discrimination re marriage but plenty of masculine cops wearing female uniform and vici verca. And no-one cares)
