Does anyone else wonder if Trump having Covid could delay his SCOTUS nomination? I don’t know how it could but I keep hoping. How many of the Senators has he had contact with? Shouldn’t they be quarantined? What if he doesn’t make it?
Oh yah. His nominee Amy Barrett (spelling?) had contact with Trump.

I doubt it - even at her meetings, she has been avoiding things she said and joined, like getting rid of Roe V Wade in an ad.
@Beowulfsfriend I believe they have to appear in person at the hearings
This thought crossed my mind also.
But even if Trump is incapacitated, I think Pence will make the nomination. It may cause some delay but I don't know if it would be enough.

Oh, I hadn't realized it was already official. The OP makes it sound as if the nomination is still in play.
@RoboGraham Trump formally announced the nomination last Sat. That gathering is where many suspect he contracted Covid, because others at the same press conference also announced they contracted Covid at or about the same time.
Interesting.
I heard some senators got infected too. Maybe that will delay things a bit.
@RoboGraham It it sort of ironic that the press conference announcing her nomination may be the reason she is not confirmed. If she, and/or enough Senators get Covid each would have to cancel gatherings, such as Senate Committee meetings.
It's a ray of hope.
