These are the pictures of my spring garden in Tampa, Florida. You will see my potatoes, tomato plants growing in cages, yellow squash and green beans. Note the two pineapple blooms. If you look closely at the blooms, you will see tiny purple flowers growing out of each pineapple facet.

I so wish I lived in your neck of the woods, I would have a garden year round, lol. Maybe someday I will be there. Beautiful garden. You have done a lot of work, be proud!

Good job on the Pineapples! I've been trying to sprout the tops from store purchases..any advice?

I’m doing it right now... Just cut the top and leave inside a cup with water until roots start appearing, then transplant outside. Water must be changed frequently . This one is way overdue to be transplanted.

That is the way I started mine. Simply keep them watered and fertilized. Give them time. It will take about 5 years before you will get your first pineapple.

@EllieUnique I'm on it....

@Robecology after transplanted it takes a year or so to produce pineapples

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
