Space Odyssey 2001. I watched this movie before shipping off to my duty station in Turkey. Little did I know there was little in the way of entertainment in this far off base but there was a theater. In the month leading up to the moon landing this was the only film being shown and I watched it constantly for over a week. Back then I was impressed but now I see it as just more attempts to forecast the future. In the sequel, 2010, even religion was thrown in.
"Forbidden Planet", "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly"
Forbidden Planet is extraordinary
Oohhh will need to look up Forbidden Planet!!
Forbidden Planet. It had that comedian Leslie Nielsen.
My first viewing of Forbidden Planet was from the backseat of my parents car at a drive-in theater.
@scurry, @Sierra4 Leslie Nielsen's comedy days came decades later
[imdb.com]
@BitFlipper I know.
"Theater of Blood" or anything else starring Vincent Price.
Kill Bill, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Star Wars, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Full Metal Jacket, Team America World Police, Caddyshack
Definitely some good ones!!
@scurry Thank you!
Blade Runner, The Big Sleep, Maid in Manhattan, Quigley Down Under, Silverado, El Dorado, Men in Black, Te Wizard of Oz.
Oh, some Goodies on that list!
The Fifth Element, Casablanca, The Thief of Baghdad, Gone With the Wind, Rorke's Drift, Treasure of the Sierra Madres and Dr. Strangelove.
Lee Loo Dallas Multipass.
❤❤❤
Trading Places, Miss Congeniality, Independence Day
Excellent trio!
I recently rewatched 'Coming to America' and I always laughh so hard when he (Eddie Murphy) hands over the pocket change to the bums, who turn out to be the guys from Trading Places, Mortimer and Randolph.
ROFL
7 Days in May, Forbidden Planet, Avatar, Paths of Glory, 2001, Dr. Strangelove, Clockwork Orange, The Man Who Could Work Miracles, Things to Come, War of the Worlds, ...
12 Angry Men, Bladerunner, Casablanca, The Maltese Falcon, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Cabin in the Woods, Total Recall, TLOTR. I think those are the only that have hit 5 times or more.
The edge of Tomorrow.
and
Groundhog day.
Or maybe it just seemed like I did.
Pulp Fiction
I'll hit 5 times on that soon, I think. Only 4 right now, if I recall. Kill Bill #'s 1 & 2 & Reservoir Dog's 3 each I believe.
@phxbillcee I've seen Kill Bill 1 & 2 three times but not Reservoir Dog's. I did see Django once. Most gratuitous violence I've ever seen.
