Isn't that's what makes life for us meaningful, our memories. When My partner died her bucket list was overflowing. She got to do everything she had ever dreamed of and more. In the end there was almost no suffering and she was surrounded by our phenomenal community and her kids (and loving husband). She was a lifelong atheist but here was her heaven and I could not have had a better but bittersweet memory. Yes, it's hard sometimes but hopefully, there will be more happy memories in the future.

Yes, but we can still hold these memories in our hearts and treasure them forever. I console myself when I think of how I am glad I am the one who just has memories to live with now, and not him. I really don’t think he would have done as well on his own as I have, and although I have no real way of knowing how true that may have been, it brings me comfort to think so.

I wonder if anyone will ever really know us the way they did. ☹️
