Why is it that at the funeral and other occasions you have listen everyone tell you how sorry they are for your loss and that if you need anything you just have get in touch. But when you ask for that help those same people squirm and try to offer alternatives that won't be any effort for them.

Nearly went off again there.
Found the same thing. We had a huge ice storm shortly after and the ice smashed the lights on the deck and a huge pile of it came down across my door ( last winter right after hubby death) I was trapped in the house and his friends that said you need anything at all just let me know could not be bothered. I guess itβs something SOME people just say and that makes me furious and now Iβm furious for you. It just all bloody sucks.
Sorry while I 've been there and understand the first part of your comment, the second part about data protection & launering has me mystified - care to explain?
