That is the reason you should make sure that the dog is a fit for your lifestyle when picking them. Working dogs want to "work" and if they aren't working will find an outlet for that energy.

My old girl, Raini (now passed) was very protective of me when it came to men. She loved all children. But met 2 women who I would say were bad. She would not let them near me. One, she actually did a very deep growl, hackles up and body was tense/rigid til the lady left. She was also in the 'best dog ever' category.

@germangirl90439 it is easiest to Google feeding raw to dogs or some version of that. My dad did mostly raw beef (burger) & turkey because they lived on a sailboat so storage and refrigeration was difficult. Also fed hearts & livers. Oh & hegave Foolish canned unsalted green beans. It is far easier to feed raw to larger dogs than little ones like mine because most things you read say you need to also feed raw bones for the calcium and my guys don't have the jaw strength to break them up. Another thing to try - I don't know how far you live from the ocean but swimming in salt water is an amazing way to help with skin issues but it may burn as raw as her bum is.

@SkotlandSkye it is weird & wonderful how animals grab hold of us. And us for them. I would rather come home & be with my dogs & horses than be around most humans. Their unconditional love is so rewarding.
We put a "habitat" garden in our yard mostly to attract humming birds and butterflies.

Love this. I am lucky, I have 10.5 acres - about 3, maybe a little more, is cleared and the rest is woods. I have a deer family that beds down at the bottom, a skunk family, several opossum, I have seen 2 fox & 3 raccoon and a bear was spotted about 1/2 mile away. ❤ my hideaway.
