In the US the majority are religious unfortunately, imagine how you'd feel if they made it compulsory for anyone who identifies as atheist/non-religious to immediately vacate the country? @Flowerwall It's interesting to note that most of the states with the highest number of documented cases of infection are states that lean to the left politically speaking and that of which a majority of the citizens are not out protesting, yet that didn't minimize new infection cases. Point is, we should be questioning just how effective these lockdown measures really are. We shouldn't arrive to any conclusion absent of evidence. I also suspect that if most of those protesters were to be tested and the results negative, people would still be complaining that they are ignoring government orders, because people need something to complain about. Fear can be a powerful motivator, and fear is certainly in play in regards to the lockdown. Also keep in mind quite a few of those protesting just want to go back to work in order to support their families, as they don't fancy living off of government stimulus checks. It's never bad to question things.

I responded to her comment and cited sources that debunked her claims, and a day later I saw my post had been taken down. A few days later after that I did another post about gun rights and she left a comment again except this time immediately blocked me after commenting so I couldn't reply. As this is a site for atheists and skeptics, I take it most people on here believe there should always be some sort of evidence required first before arriving to any conclusions. With that said, I have a problem with those condemning others who choose to ignore the quarantine orders, and their argument is that those ignoring such are putting everyone else at risk, but I ask what strong evidence is there that the "covidiots" are actually doing just that? There should be some sort of hard evidence presented first that they tested positive for Covid-19, if not or they already tested negative for the disease I can't help but think those complaining have no solid basis for their complaints. If you haven't already been throwing frisbee and such with your kids, time off work and school is a good time to start though. Physical activity and sunlight can certainly have value for your mental health.

Anarchist may be another term to describe such behavior, and I don't subscribe to that system (if I dare call it such). Collectivism never appealed to me much. Cooperation among everyone is key, but I do understand your concern though.
