Once upon a time there was a guy who went by the name Admin, and one day he decided to create a website for agnostics and other secular individuals, and he called this site Agnostic.com. Maybe about a year or so after creating the agnostic site he created a mirror site called Humanist.com. The membership on both sites grew and life was good. As time went on member drama began to rear its ugly head, and this drama carried over into a group Admin had started called the Community Senate. In the midst of the drama many members decided to leave, as personal attacks started to occur. Seeing this, Admin decided that another site needed to be in the works, a site that would be dedicated to free speech and that supported civil debates and discussions. Admin went through with that plan, and in March of 2019 the third site was officially launched, the name of said site shall remain anonymous being that Admin didn't really want that site broadcasted openly on here for specific reasons. Anyways, I eventually made my way over to the new site and decided to stay there and take a long break from this one. Coincidentally, CaroleKay also eventually made her way to the new site as well, and came across my profile. Much to her chagrin she quickly realized that her kind (the progressive Democrat crowd) was largely outnumbered by Independents/conservatives/classic liberals/and Libertarians. Poor Carole must have been very distraught, because just as soon as she arrived she quickly left and deleted her account, she just couldn't stand being in the minority. Did you like my story Kyle? It was based on actual events. The point I am trying to convey here is that most of the individuals who go around pointing the finger at others accusing them of dwelling in their safe spaces or bubbles, in reality do the same damn thing themselves, but the funny part is they don't realize such. Doing what she did to me above in this thread was the very reason why so many members had left the Senate group and even the site altogether, due to needless drama and finger pointing. Of course, in the end I don't really give a damn what Carole thinks about me, as I got the last laugh seeing her depart so quickly from the other site. As my late father used to say, what goes around comes around eventually. Those who do what Carole did shall be duly ignored by me. I unblocked you Kyle because I think you do debate politics in a civil manner, hope I am not wrong about that...

So while the flag option can be used to report truly offensive posts, some members have (and probably continue doing so) abused it. Just saying...

@hippydog Truth be told, while my political views do lean to the right, I'm not without some liberal views as well, which is why I identify as Libertarian (fiscally conservative, socially liberal). During my time on this site I've learned quite a bit from those who identify as liberal, and while I may not always agree with them I do understand where they're coming from. Ken Riley has the right idea, he's trying to bring both sides of the political debate together for civil discussion. A bit of diplomacy can go a long way, and thank you for the compliment.
