Can you die of a broken heart?
jlynn37 comments on Feb 21, 2018:
I will say absolutely NOT. You might die WITH a broken heart but not FROM a broken heart. A broken heart might cause enough stress and pain in one's life that could create other issues that could lead to death (like heart failure) but it is NOT a broken heart that kills you. IMHO I will use diabetes as an example. Diabetes is NOT a terminal or life threatening condition. I will over time cause other parts of your system to fail and you will die, but it is NOT the diabetes that kills you but the failure of other systems.

If man doesn't exist does the the universe exist?
jlynn37 comments on Feb 20, 2018:
It doesn't for the man who does not exist. That would imply that even to a non-existent god(s), the universe does not exist.
Weird?
jlynn37 comments on Feb 20, 2018:
People can and do have very weird thoughts indeed. Fortunately they can easily be ignored.

Take whatever actions you feel is necessary to stay safe and NOT become a victim. If you use this as your guide you can never become a victim: "I have one strict rule when I am on the internet, I will NEVER under ANY circumstances send money or gifts to ANYONE for ANY REASON on the internet .. I have NEVER done that and I will NEVER do that." Now have some fun and enjoy yourself.

Had an odd religious debate with a coworker. Where does Good and Evil come from?
jlynn37 comments on Feb 20, 2018:
My definition of evil. Evil is the deliberate harm done by a human to another human or life form. It is premeditated, with malice of forethought. Nothing in nature is evil (earthquakes, tornadoes, a rock falling on you, auto accident, etc). Only humans can be evil. IMHO

Proving the unseen
jlynn37 comments on Feb 19, 2018:
There is absolutely no reason that a god(s) can not be proven to exist. All that would be required is for some tangible, verifiable, peer reviewed evidence to be presented. Until that actually happens, the existence of god(s), deities, the supernatural does not exist and is simply imaginary. IMHO

Gun owners always reference their second amendment rights.
