I'm from Sydney, Australia, and a new member. I'm curious to see how many people on here have visited Australia, would like to, or don't want to! Feel free to comment on your reasons why or why not (including the terrifying stories about snakes, spiders and sharks....)

It's on my bucket list

Would love to visit Australia every winter here in northeastern U.S. As a sky/stargazer, would enjoy seeing new constellations and the strange feeling of looking North for the midday sun.

I'd love to! Got a couple internet-friends over that way that I'm hoping to meet face-to-face with someday, too

I live here

I visited the Sunshine Coast a few years ago and would love to go back. Beautiful place and the nicest people.

Have a son and his wife living in Sydney. They love it down there. I’ve visited a couple of times, great country.

In high school we had to write a 5 year plan as part of the English class I was in. I believe mine consisted of becoming a marine biologist and moving to Australia. My complete lack of science and math skills squashed that dream quickly. I’d still love to visit though!

I have many friends from Australia. I've always wanted to travel the world and Australia is pretty high on my list!

It's on my bucket list of things I will likely never achieve. Being on an airplane that long just doesn't work for me.

1

Been there to visit my sister. The most amazing part about Australians I found is that a vast majority has a pet.

Spent a month or so a few years back, saw the New Year's fireworks in Sydney, did Uluru, Barossa, Tazmania from end to end, Adelaide, and Kangaroo Island among others. Barossa and Taz were the best.

Worked in Sydney & Melbourne.....
Sydney is one of my top two favorite cities.

I'd love to visit Australia but doubt my body is up to the challenge of days on a plane especially round trip.

I've been, when I was in the Marine Corps. I loved it. The people there were wonderful toward me

I haven't yet, most definitely I want to.... The closest I have been is Singapore and south of Malaysia. It's not a matter (of) if but of when. If you can provide nuggets of good stuff only locals know then that would be awesome.

I visited Australia in 2012. Spent some time in Sydney and in Byron Bay. Loved it.

My daughter went and I'm dying to.

Have a coworker who's daughter lives in Australia, so have heard from him about the charms of the country. As my company has operations there - it isn't unreasonable of me to anticipate either a pleasure trip or a business trip to the country.

2

Came to Australia in 2015 for university and fell in love with this place immediately . Finishing up my undergrad soon and planning to apply for residency right after completing my masters

Australia is on my list. So far I've checked off most of Europe and a little bit of south west Asia. Eventually I hope to make the trip to see down under.

Stayed a few months in Perth about 15 years ago

There have always been a few places ive dreamed about seeing. Australia is at the top of that list. There are 3 things that usually interest me. Weird animals (this includes bugs and fish and birds and all that), weird plants, and old-school civilizations. Y'all seem to have all 3 covered.

I live there, moved 4 years ago, been visiting since 1995. Victoria, Menzies Creek.

2

Absolutely will be visiting in the next two years, I hope...it is the only continent I have not been on...just the natural beauty and the wildlife alone is a good reason to go...

I would like to, kinda scared though. Everything in Australia will kill you. Lol. Although I think the chances of death are probably higher here in Baltimore. Lol
