Big three.
Get corporate money out of politics.
Better oversight of conflicts of interest for lawmakers.
Get "profit" out of social goods. (healthcare, prisons, ect.)

2

1.- Separation
2.- Repeat one
3.- Repeat two

2

(1) The Independence of Puerto Rico, (2) The Liberation of Puerto Rico, (3) The Emancipation of Puerto Rico.

2

(1) honesty and integrity in government, (2) infrastructure development, and (3) the development of people and opportunity in our country.

2
  1. Cybersecurity.
  2. Single Payer Medical.
  3. UBI.

I'm not sure how many of the above can make it into a winning platform, but those are my primary interests.

Cybersecurity because without it, elections, critical infrastructure and my personal privacy are at serious risk.

Single Payer because it is the right thing to do and is more efficient (cheaper) than what we have now.

Universal Basic Income (UBI) because the robots and Special AIs are coming and they could easily be disruptive enough to turn most of this country into an opioid dependent rust belt (unless we take steps now).

And ... while we're making wishes ... elimination of primaries and adoption of preferential voting.

I think the way to make some of these things happen is to find a sensible, charismatic candidate who can awe the masses.

charismatic candidate does not mean the best it means an actor!

Was FDR an actor? Was Churchill? For that matter, is Trump an actor? Reality shows don't use actors.

  1. The National Security Act of 1947 that created the Deep State.
  2. Reverse Citizens United.
  3. Impeachment and repudiation of all the actions taken by the Fake President, especially including Supreme Court Justice(s).

really you think the deep state is real?

2

Since the coming election is mid-term, largely legislative positions filled, I don't understand how that will 'settle' any political issues. I expect it to demonstrate the amount of sentiment for or against the current administration and/or attitudes toward an alleged 'deep state', but not a lot more.

Legislation eventuating from a new congress will settle and/or create political issues but that is post-election. Should be lots of fun. 🙂

2
  1. The environment
  2. Gun laws
  3. Removal of irrational politicians -- anyone who disagrees with me

Healthcare reform with a focus on mental health. Not a single payer system, but something that break up the health insurance monopoly we have. As a country (U.S.) our attitude towards mental healthcare is abysmal. Many of our social problems would reduce in severity if our nation cared this issue.

Education reform with a focus on hiring quality and better pay for teachers. Terrible and apathetic teachers protected by teacher's union must go.

Reclaiming U.S. sovereignty from multinational corporations. Bust up trusts and monopolies in all sectors(media, banks, and pharmaceutical to name a few).

This is for Canada:
Universal Phamacare
Serious action on climate issues
Free post-secondary education

So many things now. But for a start how about smarter and less evil

healthcare stop the fighting who gets it everyone gets it. Cut out the mega for profit corporation. They get government research funds to make new meds and they keep the patents they did with our tax money. Then the part were everyone is worried who you love! I 2 loving adults want to get married leave them alone. I thought we had this fixed! CUT CUT CUT military funding stop cutting disabiltiy to people including veterans! We have a crazy person playing president. Space force how stupid is that.

1

I can at this moment only think of two.
Education system, and health care.
If I thought about more I probably find more.

1

Another effin election?
Oh.
You mean youze guys...
Well, good luck.

From most of these comments it appears that folks are sure watching a lot of TV.

@Silver1wun

As an adult, I have never watched TV. As an avid reader, TV seems like a massive waste of time. You can imagine how I feel about smartphone addiction.

The only time I miss TV is during the Olympics.

@LiterateHiker 'It appears' is more of a bottom line observation. Television has no monopoly on propagating myths.

Expand social security, do not cut it. End the blatant disregard of the environment. legalize medical marijuana.

@DaringDavid Explain what point you are trying to make. I am on SS and their is no scheme as far as I'm concerned, their may be some bs with it due to politicians but a pyramid scheme?

three? only three? i know prioritizing is important but everything is going to, oh pardon the religious expression (we really do need to do something about our language) hell! yes to everything i see here so far but NONE of it will happen until we flip everything blue. not a bit of it. so my FIRST priority is getting people into power who want to do all these things too. otherwise it's just a useless wish list.

g

@DaringDavid no, someone who thinks social security is a ponzi scheme is what you said, which, by the way, is not how we speak to one another on this site. but you know, if you had a serious argument with anything i said, you'd have facts, not just insults. you have no facts, insults are your only refuge.

Effective education, we pay too much for a bad product.

The economy, a lot of other problems diminish when people have good jobs.

Drugs seems to be dragging the whole world and especially the USA down.

To all those listed below, I didn't see separation of church and state . Please SEPARATION OF CHURCH.

just get rid of all religions all it does is separates us!

I have said that if the current administration would do three things, I would grudgingly respect them (not support, but respect). The President has, at one time or another, backed all of them:

Universal reciprocity of concealed carry permits (we can't even discuss sensible gun control, but perhaps at least getting everyone on the same page would be a start. Plus, it would benefit me 😉 )

Legalisation (or at least decrimilisation) of marijuana

Removal of ALL trade tariffs/restrictions.

So far, they are negative one for three. Not too good.

However, those are the three that I think we could get under current circumstances. I think the overarching three most important are health care reform, environmental concerns, and immigration.

check out history! Find out why they stopped open carry!

@benhmiller open carry is coming back (the Ninth Circuit is taking care of that). Although I support your right to open carry, I think you're an idiot if you advertise that you are armed. Cover that shit up. 😉
