Are you a dog person or a cat person? (I'm a cat person)
Dog all the way. Cats are fine, and enjoy the cats of others, but dogs rule.
Cat lover! my unimaginative grandmother replaced many cats which died, as she lived on the Isle of Dogs; there were many rats around so she called each new one 'Fluffy, 'whether they were or not. The fluffy I knew was the sixteenth and by then we had moved to the suburbs. It was the fifties very few cars on the road and our fluffy was sixteen years old he used to go to sleep on the fence which had a wide wooden top that he could dangle over (and fall off of ) but he had four extra paws so he would sort of float down which happened once when he went to sleep on a top floor windowsill and abseiled down with his paws wide just shook himself and walked away - he was a major celebrity in our area and when he got very old my uncle reversed over his head in the car - he lost some teeth but soldiered on and then he took to taking naps in the middle of the road and neighbours passing would pick him up and reset him on the fence saying come on fluffy this is your place- he died about eighteen years old and I never ever met a nicer cat.
Well, considering that I don’t have pointed ears, a tail and my genitalia is isn’t stitched to my underbelly, then I’m neither.
I love both. I always have a dog and at least one or two cats. I prefer to have two, and at least one, a black cat. I love big dogs, but have had as little as a fifty pound dog. My current dog is a perfect 120 pound Cane Corso. I also have horses. I can't imagine life without any of them. But I love all critters. I love all the farm animals too. Pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, guineas and the donkey. All wonderful.
If I HAD to pick one I would go cat. Granted I love all animals and I'd be just as infatuated with a pet goldfish as I would a fully trained doberman.
Cats do have a level of self reliance that is very admirable compared to other pets though. There is nothing more satisfying than earning a cat's trust. Also there is nothing more heart melting than waking up to a purring kitten on your chest after a couch nap.
Cats and kittens are completely useless...so it is a complete mystery to me why I love them so.
I can't tell which door someone is knocking at , so I look at the cats . I go to the door they're looking towards . In fact I usually know which door , before they knock . They patrol the yards at night . Used to have a problem with critters drowning in the swimming pool . Cats keep them out of the yard . They also tend to dispose of snakes for me . If it's a cold night , you can bet they'll be two piled on top of me . Never feel alone , because one of mine is always up against me .
YES. I live with cats because they fit my life at the moment. I have no time for a dog right now. When push comes to shove I will always have a cat.
I'm a wildlife person..especially birds. Also, I love horses.
Cats are an invasive species that are making native species go extinct all over the planet, and spread disease to both humans and wildlife.
