My friends have a rule when we go out, no religion and no politics and we all get along great.. no one cares what the other likes or doesn't like. My small family is all on the same page so there's no problem.

For Christmas, one side of my family, I agree, we avoid that discussion.

The other side, we give each other "donations" in each other's name, whether it's MPR (Minnesota public radio), Doctors without borders, Heifer international, or something similar, we're all on the same page, and we can discuss it and agree. Much less stress.

Just play some Adele and everyone will be happy! lol
