What's your stance on naps? Will you be taking one this weekend?

Not only on the weekend if I can sneak one in during the week.

One this weekend??????.... Ha ha ha you don't understand yet what age does to you. You'll get to a point where you'll need a nap every freaking day ????

I don't sleep well at night so I grab a quick nap anytime I can.

There are many studies that demonstrate the benefits of naps.

My idea is to take a nap at a moment's notice. If I'm tired. I'm clocking out. Lol

2

I wish I had more time for naps.

2

Saturday or Sunday or both I get up go to bathroom, wash face eat something then go back to bed for a few hours read or nap.

2

I don't usually nap unless I'm sick but I love sleeping in on the weekends.

All I have to do right now is say (loudly) "Anyone want a nap?" And I'll have three dogs jumping around, wanting to snooze with me.

This reminds me of something funny Paula Poundstone said when talking about how difficult it can be to get a child to take a nap. She looks bewildered and says, "Can you imagine ANYONE who does NOT want a nap?"

I often take naps. They are wonderful, especially since I often don't sleep well at night. Just curling up with a warm blanket and drifting off is a great pleasure.

I usually don't get more than 5 hrs sleep at night so a 10 - 20 min nap recharges my batteries .

A 45 minute to one hour nap is nice.

Naps are useful when your tired. Yes.

I can't sleep durign the day. The only exception is if I am sick. Then, I can nap a little bit.

I have terrible fibromyalgia, bad knees, etc etc, but love to go to karaoke, which starts at 9 around here. After I get done taking care of house & yard (or not) if it weren't for naps I would not get out!

Being an insomniac, naps are how I survive. ?

I don't nap (regularly). I might take a short snooze if I feel like I need it in order to be alert enough to do a task. Napping during the day means I sleep terribly at night.

@maturin1919 It is a nap but only a very short one, like 10-20 minutes, if absolutely needed. Otherwise, I don't nap regularly or often. I don't like to do it unless I absolutely need to restore energy in order to do tasks. I may nap if I feel sick as well. But that is quite rare.

I chose the "Never...complete waste of time" because it's the closest option. I wouldn't say I never nap. I'm not planning on napping this weekend. I work everyday anyway.

I don't ever set out to have a nap but that doesn't mean they don't happen. I have a smidge of an issue with processed white flour, it absolutely wipes me out, so if I have say a piece of white toast then sit on the sofa I'll be asleep in about 15 mins. That doesn't mean I fall asleep walking down the road but if I relax then zzzzz. 🙂

1

Yep. Most definitely.

1

I don’t like taking naps but if insomnia is tormenting me I sometimes have to lay down and close my eyes.

IF I have a superpower, napping is it.

Love me a nap! Most are unexpected though, I never "intentionally" take a nap, they just happen and they are wonderful.
I'm just going to sit here and shut my eyes for one minute...
