Wow, that is an emotional setting. Often animals will leave and die alone. There must have been a real attachment. Animals do have personalities and feelings and I think we don't really appreciate that fact. Sorry to hear about your loss and know how you feel. Anyone with pets that they care for goes through this at some time but it is still hard.

My condolences. I wish they could all leave that way. Those 1 way trips to the vet can leave a person emotionally gutted, for years. I'm sure many here can understand the huge pain you must be feeling. For what it's worth, 18 years is a great run for a cat, I wish they could all be here that long.
