Some die way too young. However, there is no downside to being kind, and there is also a multiplier effect.

Yes, you CAN be kind to others as much as you wish BUT sadly there are those who will merely 'slap' you in the face in return for your kindness.
My advice in such situations, Thank them for their actions and smile, however hard it may be, as you walk calmly away from them, eventually it WILL hurt them more than it hurt you.
Plato said it 2000+ yrs ago: be kind for everyone is fighting a hard battle.

There are way too many people asking for donations , for kindness to cost nothing .
@Cast1es kindness isn't money. It's time, gentle words, a friendly smile, respect, doing no harm.
not only the oldies ... when life gets too hard we can all lose our grip, and no-one knows all the story.... so - just be kind

It seems getting old is not the wise or wondrous time we were told!
It is a time of survival beyond our personal expectations!!!
@of-the-mountain The break down of the family unit is a big problem. I remember my granny, the only grandparent still alive when I was born, as a wonderful wise woman who lived with three of her nine children. nowadys she would probably be shoved into a granny farm to live out the rest of her life
You are advocating for people to die young? Why? Being old doesn't have to be a bad thing.
@citronella Of course not. Just the reverse, but sadly many people do die young.

I love that true colours quote... too often people try to see the best in toxic people to the detriment of themselves or their friends/loved ones they advise to see the best in everyone... fck that.
@demifeministgal So true, some people have no "best" in them......aka trump for example!!!
