Space is so white

Well, there was Lando Calrissian, and a real fox he was!

Such a cool picture. Just yesterday, Lia (10) and I were talking about Star Wars. I amazed her with my knowledge. Hard to amaze a 10-year-old. Now, quickly, what were the little teddy bears called that zoomed around on scooters in a related movie?

Ewoks.

@GipsyOfNewSpain Ewoks! Yes, thank you, How could i forget. Thank you very much!

@Spinliesel May the Force be with you.

I am off to see the new one on Saturday.

I hate when Hollywood changes a scene many years later in a movie. I saw original Chapter Six of Star Wars at the end the spirit of Darth Vader smiling to Luke went from the Original actor that played Chapters 4-6 to the actor that played Chapter 1-3.

Why Lucas felt the need to switch from the original 83 cut and insert Hayden is a sore point for me also...
And HAN shot First

@altschmerz George Lucas had a feud with the original Vader, a former Mr Britain body builder suposely he told the press that Vader was Luke father before the movie release. Things got so bad that a different actor was used for the shot when the helmet came out and was filmed in secret of the original Vader. I saw a brittish documentary about the whole issue.

You know you’re getting old when you can pick out which ones have already died.

I was actually thinking that, too.

He doesn't look like James Earl Jones.

He wore the costume

James Earl Jones was just the voice of Darth Vader. Oh My god… all those youngins missing the memo!

In Empire Stikes Back, David Prowse did not say the line "I am your father" he said something else during filming, that line was added in post production when they were adding James Earl Jones voice into the final cut

@Marcus1701 He said "I kill your father". By then there was a lot of controversy and problems between Lucas and Prowse. There is a documentary that tells the whole saga.

I didn't realize Carrie Fisher was so short.

i’ve never been much of a star wars fan, but this is still a cool picture. i watched them as a kid, mostly just have memories of Han Solo and cgi aliens (different trilogies, i know, but that’s what stuck out to me lol). i haven’t seen the new movies, but The Mandalorian is cool.

Geeze, where do they find these tiny women?

Debbie Reynolds apparently 😉😉

@Marcus1701 yep, she's got a fun pedigree

Too cool.

Funny story about David Prowse and how his voice wasn't suitable for Vader.

"This is a story of love and loss, fathers and sons, and the foresight to retain international merchandising rights."

Remember waiting, first in the queue on the first day of release way back then....and went back another 10 times or was it 16 times...Still the best film ever...lol

Harrison Ford, David Prowse, Peter Mayhew, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamil and Kenny Baker. Where is Anthony Daniels?

No one beats time....

R2D2 to you, Fidget to me.😉 Nice picture.👍

They were so young... Probably weren't even aware of how big this thing would be... From what I understand, 20th Century Fox didn't think the film would do that well, so they were willing to give everyone who worked on it percentage points of the box office, and all ancillary rights to Lucas... Big surprise I'm sure when it wound up staying at number one for over a year.

interesting although i wasn't a big fan
