In my lifetime, I have imagined and lived through the very worst I thought a Mother could live through. The death of a child. While I HATE what American health care did NOT do for my son, I can't even imagine what it feels like to have child (of ANY age) murdered by law enforcement. Other than being the Mother of a missing or exploited child, I just don't believe there could be anything worse. 😪

Eric Garner's Mother Reacts to George Floyd's Murder
[abcnews.go.com]

OH BROTHER! I just read that Mr. Floyd's Mom died 2 years ago. This man was begging for his deceased Mom. Jesus Christ.

This is heartbreaking.

The American for profit healthcare system ought to be recognized for the mafia that it is. It's leaders and the politicians who are bought by them should be charged with crimes against humanity.

The dying want to be welcomed in their mom heavenly arms ......these 6 gangster cops need to face the death penalty of enraged Minnesotans because there is only life imprisonment available to courts there....USA calmly lethally injects prisoners and death occurs less PAINFULLY than Floyd suffered bleeding choking on his own de-oxygenated blood and gasps

There is nothing about this whole situation that isn't just horribly heartbreaking. And I am very sorry that you also had such a terrible loss.

Firstly, WHAT do Americans seem to have such a patently, obvious aversion to having a National Health Care System?
How many U.S. Residents have died from Covid simply because they didn't have/couldn't afford to have 'Health Insurance'?
How many were just homeless and left to die?
Secondly, where are the checks and balances that any other decent society puts in place to govern the actions, etc, of the Law Enforcement Agencies?
FFS, the unwarranted DEATH of George Floyd WAS MURDER, nothing more, nothing less, the bastards who committed that MURDER deserve nothing less than a LIFE Term Sentence in Prison in my opinion.
And YES, @ SeaGreenEyez, I know your pain for I have lost my beloved child even though EVERYTHING possible was done to save her from succumbing to Lymphoma and all those attempts were due to our having a National Health Care System, though it may NOT be absolutely perfect, it did its best and for that I am eternal thankful.

@SeaGreenEyez I am so sorry to hear you caught the virus. How are you doing now?

@SeaGreenEyez , our 18 year old son was killed in a car wreck in 2000. The only thing I can say about it is it is a pain like no other. Physically heartbreaking. At least he died fast being thrown thru the T top.
But the little bastard didn't have to die at all! Our family made seat belts a rule years before there was a seat belt law. You can tell I'm still angry at him.

@SeaGreenEyez oh my I am so sorry to hear this. You will persevere. We all need you tohelp vote this pos out of office. You have new memories to make!

This is a Horrifying example of White priviledge..I am seething over Floyds Murder..Yet news stations are quoting "un-named sources" that He had underlying health issues that lead to his death..already the shifting of blame has Started..🤬🤬🤬🤬

So do they think it's okay for Police to murder people with pre existing conditions?

How would him having an underlying condition make what they did any less bad?

@RoboGraham it's sifting blame by Making Floyd responsible for his death by not being a good black man..by not taking better care of himself..

@Charlene in that case, the message they are sending is that the people had better be in great physical shape because law enforcement is so brutal that it's dangerous to encounter them while physically weak.

Yeah that's not a good look. They'd be better off just admitting that there are some members of their evil organization who are rogue and go ahead and punish them accordingly.

Obesity is not a health issue while being choke tortured to death for being a hungry poor Black man

@Larry68Feminist he wasn't obese..it's just another way of shifting blame from the Cop Murders to the victim..after all pigs are "Heroes", right?

@RoboGraham like that'll Ever happen..break the Blue Wall,your dead..

@Charlene

So true.

We will have to break the blue wall for them.

@RoboGraham only Cops can do that..everyone else is acceptable collateral damage..

@RoboGraham Just the opposite.
I understand that Floyd fell down.......
So, help him back up,
let him sit in the police car,
while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.
Help him up.
Help him up.
The officers involved are brain dead, no brains in their skulls.
If the man falls down,
help him up.
Help him up.
Help him up.

@bigjac

Yeah, that would definitely be better than strangling him.

It’s so troubling. I want to go through my screen and tackle that horrible cop, even though I can’t. Why didn’t the watching crowd gang up? How can this have happened?

They would have been shot..obviously Black Lives Don't Matter..

From the video I saw, there was an Asian cop off to the side that was keeping bystanders back from where Floyd was on the ground, plus, the cop on Floyd's neck pulled his mace one or two times when bystanders tried to move towards him to stop his murdering ass...There was nothing the bystanders could do without likely endangering their own lives. I think it took courage just to film the cops and keep confronting them verbally. How could they be sure the cops might not shoot them just to cover up for themselves?

I know of 4 Minneapolis Blacks beaten or shot to death by cops in the last few years.....bystanders saw all cops were armed with mace tasers handcuffs and MAGNUM FORCE GUNS....INTERFERING with official acts is a serious crime to push that cop off his dying victim of intentional TERRORISM for local tv viewers...
Cops did not expect a global viral backlash when all eyes are on racist TrumpOLINI and the pestilence death counts

@TomMcGiverin I hope I have the courage to act anyway, in spite of my fear of being arrested or harmed. Maybe I’m crazy, but I don’t think I could stand by and not try. My heart would break forever. I do understand why those at the scene felt powerless to intervene.
I hope to never witness a murder like that.

All the while three grown men were sitting on his abdomen and a fourth was kneeling on his neck.

@SeaGreenEyez I know friends that support this crap. I just have to scratch my head. If it was a white guy, it wouldn’t happen. What the hell happened to us?

There is nothing surprising about this. It sucks, and it's as wrong as it can possibly
be, but it isn't remotely surprising.
It's been going on for the better part of the last 350 years.

Black people, other minorities, and all the indigenous people of this continent
have been subjected to the racism and violence of white Europeans against them.
Law enforcement has been killing people since there's been law enforcement.

There have been hundreds of thousands, probably millions, of mothers whose
children have been killed for no other reason than their race, or the blind, irrational
hatred of those who have been in any position of "authority" or power, or simply just
believed they were better.

We should be better, but we really aren't.
If we were better, more white people would be taking these assholes to task.
We would have been doing it right along, since the beginning.
But we haven't been, which is why those who have perpetrated this violence
have felt emboldened to continue doing it.
No one has ever stopped them.

There is no "law and order" if this kind of thing is allowed to go on.
The whole concept is just an empty promise. It's not real. It's just words.

Gotta start taking these assholes out, on the spot.
You know the whole, "see a nazi, punch a nazi" thing?
Gotta do that with ALL of them.

Revolution is a bit chaotic, but if you want an omelet, ya gotta break the eggs.
It ain't gonna be pretty, but the right thing usually isn't.
However, it IS necessary.

Shit is fixin' to get damned ugly, but if we want it to get better, that's what
has to happen.

@SeaGreenEyez This whole thing sucks, but it's been building for a LONG time.

It's gonna get ugly AF.

P.S.
Hope you're feeling better. Even if it's only a little bit.

@SeaGreenEyez After the shooting of the sleeping black woman in Louisville, I sure as hell might be afraid of sleeping at night if I was black.

@SeaGreenEyez I read where a lot of people are having disturbed dreams and not sleeping well. Understandably with our world falling apart around us.

As usual you clearly put thing in perspective. Nice rant.

I married a black woman nine years ago, and she has been teaching me to notice these things, in case I would miss them.
But this one, the murder of George Floyd, this one now has all of America, saying, this murder is way over the top.
You seem to be advocating armed revolution, and that seems darn near unavoidable.
However, if we can avoid such a bloody, high body count war, maybe we could do it like this:
Stop charging any income tax to black Americans.
Raise the income tax on all other Americans.
Put a big luxury tax on high priced shoes, high priced cars, all the luxury items.
Give that extra tax money to black Americans.
Pass more and better hate crime laws, and hate speech laws.
Any one convicted of such crimes, or such speech, anyone convicted, who aims their words and actions towards black Americans, they would pay regular payments, for the rest of their lives, and they would pay those payments to their victims.
My two cents

1

It is unbelievable that is happening in our country

And worse, it is being condoned, if not outright encouraged by the idiotic asshole staining the White House.

@SeaGreenEyez Please add the word "OFF" to that meme, I wouldn't fuck Humpty Trumpty with my worst enemy's dick, let alone my own, and I'm as straight as an arrow btw.

@Gwendolyn2018 I agree, and I think that finally other cultures are saying enough is enough

@SeaGreenEyez, about that meme: Not enough condoms in the universe.
