I was not aware of this history until reading of it surrounding this issue. Trump did the right thing here. But now knowing the history it is even more deeply troubling what was said by one of the officials in Tulsa recently. I think US citizens must start pushing back against incendiary rhetoric from all politicians and political representatives whether accidental or intentional. And I mean on both sides, from ANY point of political spectrum.
IMHO, Enough people in his inner circle finally got thru to him that he was walking right into a potential land mine..... He could have spun this thing on the 19th to work in his favor - but that would have involved having to acknowledge what happened and condemned it in the strongest possible terms. He would have also had to say things that might have been well received by the BLM community - and he just can't do that - those words literally stick in his craw.
I guess he didn't care much about the lives of those sworn to protect him. They have families to go home to, right?
tRump is a fool to hold a big public gathering, wonder how many new corona cases will come from it.
Of course, people now have to sign a waiver saying they will not hold Trump or anyone in the Tulsa event responsible if they get COVID-19. This is true and I am not making it up. Trump had to get back on the road and do those rallies again. Damn, I miss those Bush and Obama rallies, and I even bought their hats too.
"Many of my African American friends and supporters"?!?! Define 'many', please.
You know, “My African American”. The one who left the Republican Party. I guess they still talk.
Now he is changing it to the 20th of June!!!
Stupid moronic idiotic the damage has been done!!!
I wonder how many have figured out this narcissist's game. This is classic behavior for them. He got EXACTLY the response he wanted. All of trump's emotional, caring or respect responses are an act. So, he moves the date and looks like a 'decent' person. The media must learn to walk away. The people of this country who are against him must walk away. Not responding is the only way to deal with them. Had he not changed the date I would have advised everyone who is against this man to not show up. Why put yourself at risk during the pandemic. I would advise giving the impression of a huge anti-trump/BLM group showing up to trigger the gun toting folks to flock to the rally and then they can all just stand there with their dicks in their in their hands lookin' stupid. With the only media there fox and oann. Maybe one of the less biased media outlets for the opposing perspective.
so a god exists because stupid ass Trump for once did something not racist?
It’s an expression. And it’s far more than a passive move. There could have been another massacre. That’s how serious it was.
I wish everyone would acknowledge that he just like every president before him has a campaign manager that arranges their schedule and he just like 90% of the rest of the US population didn’t even know about the Tulsa race riots until they watched the watchmen on HBO.
So I’m not even sure if he knows either but the date was some piss poor planning just glad that someone got him straight
He probably planned to do this all along - he gets to dog whistle his hatriots for the original date and virtue signal to his haters for changing it. He always loves to get it both ways and later claim whatever he wants depending on who is listening.
trump obstructionist republican fascist requested the date change!!!
trump’s only black friend is a delusional demented brain Surgeon head of HUD who thinks that Blacks impoverished one another!!!
. . . I'm eager to hear what BLM has in response.
wow just think of how much grief he must have heard to change anything especially since his fav Nazi planned it this way
I'm certain his favorite Nazi would be Hitler, not Stephan Miller.
@racocn8 that asshole is so wrong his family is done with him
