The church should stay out of issues of women's choice, such as abortion.

In fact, I can think of nothing the church SHOULD NOT stay out of.

Time to start taxing them.

If they want to dabble in politics, they should be fully taxed like any other business.

And Politics should stay away from the church. It is a marriage crafted in Hell.

Their tax exempt status comes at a price of no participation in political issues. It's a condition that none of them are held to.

Some of my ancestors were Catholic. I loved a few of them, and distrusted the others, or they distrusted me. There is no humanity in Catholicism. They breed dogma, venomous distrust, and perpetuation of guilt in humans. So-called hell will happen by their encouragement of over-population, which will cause environmental destruction, worldwide hunger and thirst, and climate disasters. The greed, hunger for power, and patriarchy of Catholicism's teachings is the most virulent propaganda and mind-control on earth. IMO, It would be good for humanity if a lot of them just die off. But not the ones who actually love others.

The church doesn't understand what politics even mean to them. All they think of is what sin is to them. Even with politicians getting involved... so they should stay out of the way.

This is the St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Cathedral in New York City. Without the Johnson Amendment (the one Trump said he will no longer enforce) think of how much money Russia could funnel into his campaign through the church.

There is a part of me that just laughs at this crap.
