I'm not sure I have a favorite car. I drive a 2004 Monte Carlo today. Bought it for my ex wife but she liked my Malibu better. When we split up we traded cars then because our cars were in our own names. My very first car was a 1950 Studebaker. Someone said I would be lucky if I drove it 100 miles. Boy were they ever wrong.
The cars of today get so many miles more than before because of close engine tolerances and modern oli choices. Just do the sceduled maintance.
My first car was a '73 260Z--oh, how I cried the day I had to sell it!
@Recordstatic I felt the same way when I sold the Z. To this day, I miss that
car!
I recently had a 78 280z, in silver as well.
@idlopalev Beauty and the Beast! Beauty on the outside but a Beast under the hood.
My 2nd favorite car after the 55 Chevy. My best childhood friend's parents bought a 70 396 Chevelle new and he still has it. It is in better than new condition.
@realneal54 I bet she's a beauty....well, they all are.
'64 Ford Falcon Sprint bright red, loads of real chrome and a 289!!!
I'd love a 57 Bel Air. That said, I am quite pleased with my Civic, and not super interested in acquiring a project, so it is unlikely I will have one in the foreseeable future.
My very favorite car is the one that is paid for and parked in my garage. Elmo is a red 2007 Toyota Rav4 with a sunroof. I plan on driving it until my children pry the car keys from my cold dead hands.
Classic VW bug from the 1960s. A really fun car to drive.
I want a Baja bug?
I nearly bought a very cheap W110 with heckflosse when I was 18, but I got a mechanic to check it over and he said I'd be lucky if it lasted a hundred miles!
'67 Chevelle. 350 w/ 4 bolt mains. TRW ladder bars, M&H slicks, Hedman headers, Holly Quad, etc. Street car. Blew the motor missing a shift.
Boom!
Had a guy build me a 327. Hated it, and sold the car.
Second place was a yellow, Roadrunner, '69, 383 Magnum. Some kid high on weed hit me head on. Didn't hurt me, but killed my bird.
I know how you feel, my '85 Fiero 2m4 was on the highway cruising when the transmission locked up and sent gears through the engine block. It would've been the perfect opportunity to drop in an LS and transmission from a G6, but I needed to get to work 1500 miles away. Sold my Fiero and bought a bus ticket.
I'm partial to this one: [nsx.acura.com] LOL!
I'm driving his extremely distant cousin right now, 2016 RDX. LOL!
I bought the first Celica in Austin, red with a black interior. Great little car.
I'm a sucker for older model firebirds, 67 impala, jaguar, oh I saw a really bad ass rolls royce in kansas city that was fit for an emperor
55 Chevy. Been my favorite car since I was about 16. A friend who got one in high school still has his.
My 1968 Mustang, and my old Jeep Wrangler. I loved them both. I also had a plain old Jeep Cherokee that I loved.
I had a sports car till the engine blew up-my ex never put water in the radiator. Trying to remember what it was. May have been a Nissan 240 Z? Does that sound right?
They were are great car, but from what my friends that owned them told me, if you went into your garage with one, and it was very quiet, you could here things go wrong with it. All my friends that owned them said they were very high maintenance. Love/hate relationships.
Got it from someone local -didn't have it that long.
Is that the Batmobile?
@ailurophile close.
Pagani Zonda R
1 of 200 made.
@WileEQuixote I suppose if I have to ask, I can't afford it.
@ailurophile $1.4M
@WileEQuixote I could live comfortably the rest of my life on 1.4M, and have enough left over to donate. However, if I win the MegaMillions, I'll keep you in mind.
@ailurophile thanks!
I’ll show you what $1.4M feels like on the track.
I ran a Lamborghini customer event once, but no Zondas
@WileEQuixote Could we run errands after? Running errands via bus is like swimming in molasses.
@ailurophile you got it! I think it can fit an orange in the trunk.
@WileEQuixote I'll learn to juggle so we can carry more.
@ailurophile OR we can just make multiple trips...and you can juggle too, I guess.
Why not?
@WileEQuixote I have a lot of pockets. How many MPG does this vehicle get?
@ailurophile 3 to 9
@WileEQuixote Hahahaha! I hope you have plenty gas money, because I am a pauper, aka a taker, not a job maker.
@ailurophile if you can afford the $1.4M then I think gas is cheap
@WileEQuixote Oh, right... I forgot I won the Megamillions.
@ailurophile yup!
