There is no pat answer to that question. It depends on the personality of the person(s) and on the quality of the specific marriage.

I have been really happily married, and really unhappily married. I have been really happily single and somewhat unhappily single.

Depends on individual person.

Depends on the Human.

....hahaha, that's like asking, "Is a bird that can fly happier than one than cannot?"

@LetzGetReal touche...but I did once know a penguin who tried and tried, refused to give up hope, until one day he flung himself over a freeway overpass and, no wait, that was my friends uncle Pete, never mind....

Statistics say, older Unmarried women are the happiest, followed by older married men........buwahahahahaaa!
Personally, light-years happier now single!

It all depends on who you are married to. If you wife is a b then so will your life. If you have a good wife then your life will be better.

I agree. If your husband is an ass, life will be hell.

Statisticaly it depends on gender. Married men live longer but married women less

For a while absolutely yes. Now, "for a while" mean different span of time for different couples. It can go for about a day for some, to a life time for very very few lucky ones....

HahahahahahahHahahaha

They tend to live longer does that mean anything?

I was more motivated to go out with friends when I was single. I also made more of an effort to get out and meet new people. I was happy doing those things, but I am happy being married too. There are pluses to both lifestyles.

Every situation is different. I don't its common experience for anyone. So both are right

Insufficient data. Does not compute.

Ha ha ha.... I stand correct... Brilliant minds think alike !!

It depends. Married people can be happier. So can single. Sometimes marriage is more stress. Imagine this scene from the past. I see this man with his arm around his wife as TV shows are discussed. He says "as for me and this house nobody here watches 90210." That's interesting. He has his hand up his wife's ass like a puppet. I'm sure it was a stressful relationship in a stressful household. I say this and I have never personally watched 90210 myself. It's just that who are you to speak for other people and what they can watch on TV?

Not this human. I'm happily single, and planning on staying that way.

0

I can't answer that. I can only speak for myself and say, I'm happier and more stressed at the same time since getting divorced.

In a good marriage, yes. Otherwise, no.

Depend on both parties if you are happy with each other than you are happy
Married is a just a legal term
Both parties need to be happy

Yeah I think I was happier when I was married. It was the whole trip family a life work etc... I felt more connected. Of course it wasn't always a walk in the park. Probably was the age difference. I grew up in the sixties and things just seemed better !

Certainly not necessarily.

Not in my case.
