Morning of day 4 with the neighbourhood Evangelidiot home.
Tuesday afternoon and I get a visit from a counselor from the local hospital Mental Health Department.
Kind of on my back foot so to speak UNTIL he mentions that the Psychologists at the hospital has suggested that I may be able to offer some insights regarding their patient.
Well, he, the Counselor, begins to chat whilst I make us both a coffee, he says that he cannot mention names but will not disillusion me should I work out whom it is we are discussing.
First thing mentioned is, " I do not need you, God and Jesus will heal me, they take care of me, now leave my home and never return."
I guess by the knowing smile I could NOT help from spreading across my mouth my Visitor arrived at the correct conclusion that I knew exactly of whom he was speaking.
So I asked, " Do you have any idea at all how deeply the slow release medication were implanted?"
"No," came the reply, " normal practice is to insert them on a sub-dermal basis, why are you asking?"
I reply, " Because I am guessing that since they would most likely be of the type where the medications are contained in a very slowly dissolving capsule type container then your patient may well have found a way to remove them, albeit by cutting open the skin and risking an infection to say the very least."
"Yes," he replies, that is how we are doing with certain types of patients, especially those whom have been deemed as being a risk to themselves and the public peace at large."
"When is his next scheduled appointment with my colleague at the hospital, if you don't mind me asking and to what lengths has things gone to ENSURE his attendance?"
"Failure to attend ANY scheduled Appointment/s," my visitor responds, " can and will mean that Regulations shall require that the Psychologist, an Officer of the Court, a Doctor and at least 1 Police Officer WILL attend the home of the patient and arrange for his/her immediate re-admission to hospital."
With that I quietly informed my visitor that, " The sooner the better would be most advisable given the almost havoc this patient has caused and will continue to cause around this area if left unchecked."
With that and a time spent chatting on subjects such as DVD preferences, etc, etc, my visitor departed my company a little more enlightened I hope.

Take care of yourself. That man is dangerous.

To himself YES I would agree however to others based upon past experiences I would say No.

@Triphid I hope you're right

@ToakReon Oh I'm very certain that he is just a chicken-shit member of the " Barber's Cat" Society, in other words, just like a cat, "full of wind and piss," as the saying goes here in Australia.

I agree with the others. Watch your back. Should he decide that everything that has happen to him is your fault, he could get dangerous. I get the feeling he is sneaky, a blitz attack is a possibility. Take care my friend.

Odd that you should mention that since just over 1 hour ago I was talking with the Psychiatrist from the hospital and enquired re- such a possibility.
His opinion is that, according to the session he spent with the theoretical" patient under discussion, the patient blames his father, his older sister, the Anglican Church that his family used to attend and the N.S.W. Police for the number of times that he was arrested for soliciting, pimping and both dealing in and taking drugs.
According to the Psychiatrists, his "theoretical" neighbours are not the problem "they are just pawns of the Devil and it is his task to bring them to Jesus with reason and kindness, it is the authorities that, like Jesus he must contend with."

@Triphid That figures.

@Triphid In your opinion...Is it possible he could transfer that blame to you or some of the neighbours?

Can his family have him committed or placed in a facility based on the diagnosis?

@Betty A very very remote probability but give what I have observed and know he simply thrives upon dominating those whom he sees as being the weaker, the milder and the demure.
Actual adults scare him as I once noted when he got the vehicle bogged one winter while were out getting firewood.
He made an attempt to lay the blame upon me and was about to threaten to attack me physically when I merely stood up, looked him straight in the eyes and asked " Would you prefer to be battered to a pulp, beaten within an inch of your life or be just left here whilst I walk across to the station homestead and get a ride home, either choice is no bother to me so take your pick and get ready because I am ready."
Within less than a heart beat he turned around and sulked his way back by to digging the vehicle out of the cloying creek sand, a few minutes later he returned, I stood ready and he literally dropped to his knees and begged for my forgiveness while apologising profusely and continuously as well.
I suppose him seeing me on a previous occasion actually stand my ground, armed with nothing more than a recurve bow and an arrow as a fully grown and very angry male 'roo came at me.
One arrow to the chest in the area of the heart and the 'roo was on its way to becoming much needed dog meat.
Though I will say that the "aroma" of urine coming from Evangeloons jeans was very much on the "nose", so to speak, during the trip back home that afternoon.

@Betty He is, according to the Psychiatrist No danger to anyone in the vicinity of his house nor the neighbourhood, though as to his immediate family that is possibly another question since while in hospital he appeared to make veiling threats regarding them re- their abandonment of him.
Since his return to his little rat-hole, as I now choose to call it, the ONLY sounds heard from within are the starting of 1 of his 2 vehicles (the other, it seems, cannot be started since its keys appear to gone AWOL) and a whole heap of praying which, as has always been his practice, is done either in the front garden or in the back yard.

Harmless and delusional I can live with. Dangerous and delusional I cannot. I commend @Beowulfsfriend's approach.

I can see four or more people entering the house next door as one person before too long, which then raises a few questions. How long might he be detained for? Who will look after that house during his detention? How will that person be remunerated for his or her efforts? How will his rates be paid? Assuming he has other bills, how will those bills be paid? If his house is broken into and ransacked, will the resulting damage be repaired, and if so by whom, when and at what cost to whom?

I can see his life spiraling down out of control.

Well rather than merely "spiralling down out of control" I'd hazard to guess that it, if left unchecked and he continues to rely upon the Imaginary, Invisible Sky Daddy and Son rather than actual medical help, he will be heading head-long towards the more modern legal version of a Schedule 8.
As to his house and property, well since he IS only part-owner and his mother holds ownership of the rest of it, then what happens IF and WHEN gets put on to the Schedule 8 list, which btw means HE has NO choice what-so-ever in regards to what Psychiatric Treatments/Drugs, etc, he HAS TO take, then he can be scheduled for a minimum of 3 years and a maximum of Life, all dependant upon the views, verdicts and diagnoses of a panel of 3 Psychiatrists.

@Triphid Okay. So his long-suffering mother would have to pick up the mess, poor woman.

@anglophone Not exactly, she gets to make the final decision should he be placed on the Schedule as whether to sell or not.
What happens to HIM will be in the hands of the Psychiatrists and the State.

@Triphid What would happen to his share in the value of the property?

I don’t believe you or your neighbors will be safe until this man is put into a mental institution. Please watch your back and be safe. 🤗

It is quite okay we all agreed to watch out for one another and with the extra "hidden" security cameras that very mysteriously keep pointing themselves in a direction that from my house means they are constantly observing any area/s where he can exit his property and go towards mine, darned cameras, must have mind of their own, LOL, I know pretty much what is or is not going on as do the rest of the neighbours as well.

@Triphid I am glad to hear you have a good security camera system! Just be extra vigilant, because I enjoy your posts so much and don’t want anything bad to happen to you. 😉

@Redheadedgammy Safe as house, that's me.

Don't trust anything about that arse.

Would not TRUST him as far as I could throw him.

@Triphid Nope, not at all.

3

Your neighbor is going from annoying and unstable to dangerous and unstable. Watch your step mate.

As a Canadian I tend to view NZ as much like Canada and OZ as much like the US of A but there was a ban on firearms implemented in OZ if I recall and your nutter neighbour shouldn't be able to get access to a firearm if I am not mistaken. Still, I would watch my back as this fella is highly unstable and could do just about anything that the voices in his head tell him to do.

It's okay, I have a very good and well positioned Security Camera system that works in either blaring daylight or the darkest of nights ( was actually one of the hundreds that were once held in storage as replacements by the ASIO/ASIS Organisation.
Plus a self designed and built system that activates both a warning light and a very annoying beeper when either of the entry gates to my property are open without first pressing the hidden security buttons.
A police officer once remarked that my Security systems made Fort Knox look like it was secured by a designer of children's safety systems.
