Most of them are not that bright, that is why they are easily fooled by con men like Trump. He fleeced his followers for millions of dollars that were supposed to go to building the wall on the south border of the US and for his election defense fund. Both of those were just scams to line his own pockets with money from his followers. Some of his supporters are smart people, who are simply greedy and don't want to pay taxes, but most of his followers are simply dumb and gullible, who don't think critically, are poorly informed, because all they watch is Fox News. They are the ones wearing red MAGA hats, not the smarter followers of his. I don't bother trying to argue with them.
