Julian Assange is IMO one of the Main reasons drump got elected.
Every Single Day, for many months, he blazoned, "Next week I will have a major revelation" about Hilary.
Then that week, maybe a recipe for risotto from one of her staff people, and the promise of a revelation Next week.
Doing tremendous damage, and oh, wait, Never ever did a "revelation" show up.....but very undermining.
All this while sheltering in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London (for Years until the staute of limitations ran out) to avoid being seized, charged, and extradited for child molestation in Sweden ( a well-known hysterical country).

Attitudes seemed to have changed since 2015 !. He embarrassed the mighty USA that's all.

This conviction is just America saving face, again, or at least trying to. Yanks have made Assange's life hell for a decade and a half, meanwhile they're preparing to vote back in to the White House a crook who, apart from everything else, stole hordes of classified documents refusing to return them, and most likely gave information to foreign hostile powers for ego or monetising purposes, but not a trial in site, and if he wins no trial ever. Like, doesn't anyone doubt that the rest of the world sees this?
