How many of you actually care about the royal wedding? I won’t tease you.

I watched some. Only because they seem like they really are in love. They are really cute together. I hope it lasts!

I couldn't give a toss about it

Most men do not take interest as it doesn't involve competition or violence. It is social evolution. It is body decoration & art via fashion & attire. It is history & tradition. It is garnering tourist monies. It is parade. It is a visual feast. A distraction from the ugly nightmare of miscreants in the White House. A relief for constant embarrassment & fear for my country, & its Constitution.

OK... So I turned on the TV this morning to live coverage of the wedding. And I'm watching it. 🙂

2

It would take me years to think of something I could care less about. These are just the super rich of the world adding a horse to the stable.

2

I don't really care what rich, aristocratic, "royality" from another country are doing. Our country is in jeopardy. We need to do some serious work at the grass roots level here for the 2018 mid-term elections; especially for minorities including the LGBTQ+ community and Medicaid as #45 and his goons are dismantling everything that we minorities have fought so hard for during the Obama Administration.

No interest. Watch a wedding and wait for the divorce.....!

I was born in England to English parents. Nearly all my relatives live there. I grew up in Canada & the USA, and I want to abolish the monarchy, and I know so do some of my relatives and more Brits do, too. It's Americans who are really obsessed with this--so many Americans believe in fairy tale princesses. I swear, if a religion ever emerged around "Princess Di," it would start in the USA and would soon rival, if not surpass, evangelicals.

Not so much about caring. More about a distraction from the debacle that is running my country currently. The historical spectacle is something a bit unique to the Brits who really put on a show. The fact that Harry has injected some serious new DNA into the lineage is socially progressive. A divorced Catholic, American actress of blended racial heritage is significant for the world. Embrace diversity. You go boy! Plus the women wear compelling hats. That is very important for the vapid crowd.

I couldn't care less. At the same time though I do cringe every time the bride to bes family do something embarrassing

I doubt I will watch it. I am a monarchist rather than a royalist. That means I believe our constitutional monarchy. It has formed a stable govt for centuries with very little crisis. Unlike many republics. i know its anachronism, having a hereditary head of state but the stability that comes with it is worth a little hypocrisy. Though I dont follow the royals or swoon over their antics. What does piss me off is the left banging on about how much this and that costs and why cant we do something else with the money. The royal family has it`s own money to pay for this wedding and yes its true the get a wage from the govt. The tourism is just a small part of what they give back. The soft power is immeasurable. The very fact that we are discussing this on what is (for the most part) a USA site is gives testimony to that. You cannot buy advertising like this.

Why do people worship royalty? they do absolutely nothing but live grandly off the backs of the working poor!

Actually, they do loads. And Harry did 10 years military service. I'm not for them. But I do acknowledge that they have a lot of jobs to do, many of which I'm sure they'd rather not.

I don’t see it as worship. We don’t have royalty in the United States. This is just my view of the whole royal wedding. It’s a fairytale come true, and there’s a part of me that still loves fairytales. Especially of the romantic nature.

2

I would rather crawl into an elephants asshole than watch it.

Again? You've been banned from how many zoos now? Just stop.

@Vic2273 did I say elephant I meant your mom they just look so similar

@Bloodmoon that's weak, dude.

1

I don't care about which member of the Kansas City Royals baseball team is performing that activity 🙂

2

Not at all.

I"m with you. Not at all.

I would like to wish a long and happy life to all of those couples getting married tomorrow, high and low born alike.

English reference to whether you were born with a silver spoon in your mouth or not
(Cigars don't count 🙂 )

Oh yeah, high born being you were on the 10th floor of the hospital, low born meaning you were on the ground floor. I love it when Americans explain outdated English "references" - if you said such a thing on the streets round here, people would...... well, they'd know you were American! And probably wet themselves laughing.....

@GoldenDoll Brits bore the hell out of me

@springlover And you americans are SO interesting.....

@GoldenDoll at least we don't bow to anyone. and we drink our beer COLD

@springlover Who bows? Are you kidding? The royal family is entertainment for us. Nothing more. And we have cold or tepid beer - a choice.

@GoldenDoll ok. let's quit. friends, I hope?

I'm British, more specifically English and here is a picture of my warehouse full of the f****cks I could give about this wedding

I use my warehouse like that for thoughts and prayers. Looks very similar.

I always had a crush on William growing up, never cared much what Harry did or who

Did William care about you?

@PontifexMarximus I wouldn't imagine so

Which is which? Kidding. I don't care.

@Vic2273 The ginger one is Harry - odds on Diana introduced a bit of new DNA into the royal family with his father.....

@GoldenDoll not necessarily. Red hair is a recessive gene and a family can go upwards of 10 generations before it shows up again

@LadyAlyxandrea Yeah right. Look at a picture of James Hewitt.

4

Looks like a legitimate chance to counteract at least some of the inbreeding. Also, I like the hats. ?

ha!ha!

I think Diana countered the inbreeding when she chose Harry's father - the one with ginger hair, not Charles.

1

Not at all. I'm of Irish descent & I'm a Yank. So, monarchy in general is a bit of anathema! & the Brit's in particular!

I'm of Irish and Scottish descent. I feel the same as you about the brits

2

I couldn't give a flying fuck. sick of hearing about it

Agreed!

3

I actually care more about my grass growing , I will sit and watch it grow while all the news programs will have it on.

I am sick to death of this Royal wedding, an extra person who Australia will blindly, partcially support, plus whatever children they have. I am sick to death of hearing all this belittling garbage about Megan’s family. I love Diana for taking the posh out of the Royal family

Diana was totally posh. From the same breeding stock.

She was only chosen because she was the only aristo still a virgin at 19.

3

I was/am marginally aware there is a wedding and who is getting married. Beyond that, I don't care.
