You know, I often do that, but even in the chat rooms no-one seems to notice. Maybe I'll have to wear a plastic mac and suddenly pull it open, instead, but the last time I did that to a woman, she just laughed. Admittedly, she was my wife, but .....

For me it approaches the point of "Heat not a furnace for your foe so hot that it do singe yourself." It will be 40 degrees in a few weeks time, and I live 150 yards from the sea. Five miles inland it will be around 45%

@Petter Now that is our summer - gorgeous so long as it stays 14% humidity or less. This last summer two glass thermometers in the car exploded from the liquid expanding to a temperature greater than the thermometer range. I now have a sugar boiling device and for the first time learnt that at head height the temperature exceeds 70°C until the air con kicks in when I open the window and let the heat out.
For the first time in my life I am sea challenged - it's about 250 klms away.
