I have a real hard time placating insecurities. I've worked hard on wrangling my own and taking ownership of them. So I expect the same of others. Anyone else frustrated by this?

It can get tiresome, for sure. We all have them, but some really weild theirs like a manipulation tool. I have a nonromantic friend who CONSTANTLY puts himself down, despite repetitive assurances that I think he is great. Otherwise, I would not want him as a friend. I have very sincerely asked him to stop.
