Will the the death of Nixon & Kissinger's Petro Dollar result in the US ceasing to be a super power?.

India & China two of the largest oil users in the world are no longer using the $US to purchase their oil.

I don't see how you can still be riding putins dick knowing that north Korea and Russia are both invading another country. I mean your guys biggest supporter is a proud dictator.

Tejas Level 8 Nov 11, 2024

What are Biden, & Trump besides being the opposite sides of a fake coin?

They are dictators.

They are #stupid.

They are not working in the best interests of the american people let alone the other 97% of the world's population.

@FrayedBear their obligation is to Americans not the world. Our leaders are elected unlike in North Korea

@Tejas do try & understand Professor Cipolla's 5 Basic Laws of Human Stupidity. When you do you will then understand why I state that the well being of the American people is dependant on the welfare of the other 97% of the world's population.

Keep searching for reasons you think might affect the U.S. While searching remember the U.S. is the leading consumer market in the world and as such every country wants to sell to us.

P.S. Get a life while you can.

The pain of not selling to you is far exceeded by the pain inflicted by your bullying hegemonic & frequently genocidal behaviours.
Isn't it time that you realised you had your ass kicked in Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan and before long Ukraine, Israel, China & Iran.

@FrayedBear Actually we kicked ass in Korea, the N. Koreans had almost occupied all of S. Korea before we entered the conflict. They were diven back rather quickly.

In Viet Nam we never lost a major battle and could have easily defeated the North, however our horrible President (LBJ) would not allow it. The more unfortunate reality was we should have never entered the conflict because it really was a Civil war we had no reason enter.

The Afganistan conflict was also unnecessary. We should have hunted & killed Bin Laden and then left.

We never had a war with Ukraine, Israel, China or Iran so throwing them in merely illustrates your confused mind.

@Alienbeing "We never had a war with Ukraine, Israel, China or Iran so throwing them in merely illustrates your confused mind." - no you are using proxies in the first2 to carry out you genocidal ambitions. In the latter 2 I'm foretelling what will happen.

@FrayedBear No proxy involved, we merely financially and logstically support them, and many others. It is called Foreign Policy and your approval is not required, or even solicited.

While we may attack Iran (I hope we do), China and the U.S. are highly unlikely to go to war with each other.

Get a new crystal ball.

@Alienbeing Nice of you to neglect to mention Iraq. Or Somalia. Or Libya, Syria etc etc.
Why do you want to attack Iran? They also employ Foreign Policy, which is also none of the US's business. But perhaps wise to understand Iran has a defense agreement with Russia so if the US attacks Iran, they attack Russia.
US forces can't even defeat the Houthi's and even with unquestioned support for the IDF, they can't hold any of Lebanon. Need I mention Gaza?
Why did the US just reaffirm the sanctioning of Cuba against UN opinion.....................again? Feel threatened do we? Or more accurately, want US companies to exploit Cuban resources to the detriment of the populace? Need another excuse besides "freedom" for invading/ sanctioning sovereign nations now. That excuse don't cut it after Gaza, never really did really.

@puff I never said we should attack Iran, I said we might. Saying that does not even infer I think we should.

I see no reason for us to continue to sanction Cuba, but i wonder what resources you think we want to exploit there.

Russia will not go to war with us over Iran. Their military is soft at best and even Putin is smart enough to know that nuclear war is a loser for everyone.

In closing we can defeat anyone we care to defeat. The only reason we might not prevail in any conflict is our Politicians, not our military capability.

@Alienbeing Russia will not sit back and watch Persia destroyed, neither will China. These 3 civilizations have a lot of historic ties with a far longer history than the USA. These ties have been reconfirmed very recently.

"In closing we can defeat anyone we care to defeat.". I would like to know what you base that assumption on. Perhaps Libya? Because didn't happen Korea, Viet Nam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and most recently Yemen. You can bomb the shit out of somewhere eg Gaza, but unless you have boots on the ground, it ain't yours.
Places like Russia's strength is it's land forces, it's army. They have a war economy to support conflict for a long time now because of Ukraine. US power has always been air and naval rather than land forces with the power to project anywhere in the world. This was enabled by huge technological advances, especially missiles and drones.
That advantage has now vanished.

The end of the $Petro means the end of default world currency status, but that alone should not affect super power status. Financial dominance is ending, totally self inflicted by the overuse of sanctions.
The main reason the US is a super power is because it inspired and led by example. Those days are well and truly over with other nations now inspiring and setting leads others choose to follow.

The current superpower, created by the "West" aka Western European colonisers, is ending as is that era. Looking like the last colony, Israel, symbolises the fall of "The West" in general. A multipolar world beckons.

If proof is needed for the loss of super power status, then the fact that nothing the US can do will change outcomes for Ukraine and Israel should be proof enough. All the US can do is affect the timelines of these conflicts now, not the outcome.

NB Well done getting a post on that can also be opened thus commented on.

Sanctions is an euphemism for outright theft. Theft of assets, trade and reputation. These imposers of"sanctions' should be in the same place the proven thieves are housed..Jail.
The EU using stolen money and assets to fund a war that is is cutting off trade with their major supplier/ trading partner.. Smart !

@vocaloldfart just like Australia wanting to buy useless submarines than only be used against China?

Thanks re post but I thought I'd also made some others that have now disappeared.
IMO the thought that BRICS will end up using Bitcoin for its main source of exchange backing if not currency is merely exchanging one Ponzi type scheme (the Petro Dollar) for another.
How long it will last I don't know but I've been making a number of significant posts as replies to other posts. It can only work if people start following each other to get notification of entries made.

What will the death of Putin bring? IDK. I''m almost laughing as I read the new Trump proposal to "drain the swamp" in Washington. He is simply going to spread the offices out to other areas. LOL

If your assassin's actually managed to murder the real Putin it would still make little difference as his successor has long been ready to take over.

The joy has gone 😀

Well, we’re still the largest economy and have the largest and most advanced military, so my answer is NO………At least not in the foreseeable future.

That is now very debatable when it never used to be. Wouldn't be so sure about your military eg no defense against hypersonic missiles and no "stealth" F-35's. In drone and electronic warfare assets the technology has passed you by. Been picking on weaker opponents for too long and don't even instill fear in them eg the Taliban and Houthi's.
Financially, wouldn't be so sure either, especially after the next financial crash. Pretty sure there will be another debt ceiling raise required shortly, how US politicians balance the books ie increase debt. 120%+ of GDP now. So I wouldn't be too smug.

Just a quick check in the propaganda sheets and google, it seems now china either (a) already has the largest arsenal in the world or 🍺 Is close to having the largest military in the world.
Do not forget the space race,
China has proven superior to America in that endeavour. Please note that no nation spends billions just for science. Ye who controls and can manipulate the most satellites wins. We, the world, are now so dependent on them now. Regardless of any media you subscribe too, the truth ( absent in any media nowadays) is much stranger that the fictitious media we are led to believe is fact.... We live in exiting times.

American are slowly getting it, still a long ways to go.

The slower the better?
