Pie or Cake?

Put candles in a cake and it's a party, put candles in a pie and someone's drunk in the kitchen....... but what do YOU think?

Pies, for the win. There are precious few cakes that I'll even touch. OTOH, I positively adoe a pastry crust!

I used to prefer pies and made a lot of them myself. However, I developed a gluten intolerance and pie crust is more difficult to make gluten-free. Cakes are easy so now I have to go with cake. An upside down cake makes a good substitute for a pie.
