One of my colleagues got a new cat a couple of years back, and one day after work we stopped off to get some groceries. When she bought him, she was told he'd been fed on Felix, one of the top-selling brands of cat food, but this shop didn't have any.
"Oh, I'll just get any brand, he'll eat it if he's hungry," she said.
"You've never had a cat before, have you?" I replied.
"No - how did you know?" she asked.
Needless to say, the cat absolutely refused to even sniff the food, and my colleague had to get up early to go to a different shop, buy Felix and then go back home to feed him before work the next morning.
Erases any doubt about who's in charge, the cat, not the hooman...
Kitty signed the feline contract - had to keep to the rules!
