I'm curious about your rain barrel set up in the background. It looks like the downspout splits... How does that work? Is there a switch for you to steer water one way or the other?

Yes, there's a manual switch controlling a gate at the junction. Not 100% water tight but very effective.
I've never seen one of these. Is it for stopovers or do bees nest in these? Kind of cool. Should tell my neighbor about this one.

mason bees lay their eggs on a victim which is placed inside the cavity. The egg hatches, feeds on the prey, metamorphs into a mason bee. Native.
@Countrywoman I did go Google it. Apparently there are a few species that will use these. I told my neighbor who has a nice garden - about it. He should build one.
Great job may you soon be infested with bees.
