The low temperature this morning was 30 degrees in my unheated greenhouse in Wasilla Alaska on May 14th. I will be moving plants out there and setting up my space heater... for now. thanks to my weather station I have saved my plants many times over ...

I am glad that Wasilla banned plastic grocery bags... but what do you do with all of the paper sacks that you saved? I put them down in my garden and cover with mulch for weed control. This is my Gooseberry bed.

For years I saved every bit of used potting compost in a heap, this year I have enough to mulch the whole garden with it. There may not be much food left in it but it still makes the plants grow.

Stepped outside and took a stroll around the perimeter. Found a second non-white Calla Lily! And..... 2 cedar tree starts. Saved the cedar starts in this old Bonzai pot. Hopefully, I'll get another seed pod from that lily.
