Warm cloths made me cry. The wife had been in a wheelchair for decades. When I would fold cloths I warmed them up in the dryer and piled them on her to fold them. She loved the warmth and the smell, I always got a big smile as I folded cloths. Now that I am a bachelor I am a bit lax and only fold cloths then I am out of underwear and don't bother to heat them. I ended up having to do a load of cloths to pack for a trip so needed to get the cloths out of the drier immediately, I hadn't folded warm cloths since she died. The warm cloths made me cry.

I get it! I am not sure how long it's been since your loss, but such memories, in time, started to make me wistfully smile, rather than cry. I hope whatever trip you were packing for goes well.

So sorry for your loss. So many times certain things/memories brought me back to when my husband was alive.
