So...I seem to have these odd forgetful moments. Let me explain; when I'm out and about, perhaps live music, or brews with friends, when coming home, I'm like...Oh I can't wait to tell Kim about this! Then I realize I can't, she's gone. It's a millisecond thought, then I get blue for a few minutes then I recover. This ever happen to anyone else? It's like, you want so bad to share with your loved one and actually forget for a second that they are gone.

Sometimes it seems like he just went somewhere & he is taking his sweet time getting home. I will find myself thinking "Where in t f are you?" I guess I am glad & sad that I am not the only one that feels like this.

I will talk as if she is listening, sometimes relating the events of my day.

I talked to Richard every night about my day. It seems to help me at night before I go to bed. I just have a conversation with him about what went on that day and then tell him good night. It's what helps me get to sleep.

It happens almost every day when I least expect it.and it takes your breath away then the heartache. I still tell him things and I sometimes write him txt ( I guess that’s for me)

yes, it's one of those nano-second connections with the past

Grief, after the initial shock of loss, comes on in waves.
When you're driving alone in your car, while you're doing the dishes,
while you're getting ready for work... and all of a sudden it hits you-
how so very MUCH you miss someone, and your breath catches,
and your tears flow, and the sadness is so great,
that it's physically painful!

That's what I miss the most. The little back and forth interactions that go on daily with spouse, telling her what my day was like. Or sharing what wild animal I saw crossing the road today. I know she's gone but I still tell her sometimes.

Yes, it's a bitch, rushing home excited to tell him something and the let down that he isn't there, no one to share with
