Tomorrow would be my 3rd wedding anniversary. We didn’t even get a chance to celebrate our 1st. He died 9 months after we got married. On what would have been our first anniversary it was spent at a ‘celebration of life’ memorial for him at this work place so that many of his colleagues could pay their respects. He died outside the country so it took a while to set up the memorial in our home town as I had to organize cremation services where he died, then a memorial in his home town for his family and friends and then the memorial for friends and colleagues in our home town a few months later. Scheduling was a bitch and I didn’t have much choice on the date as the hospital where he worked booked the date and organized the service which was for over 200 guests.
I thought, at the time, that having the memorial on what would have been our first anniversary would have somehow made the day go by easier. More focus on celebrating him v’s what I’d lost. Now as I remember the memories of what tomorrow means it’s so bitter sweet. The bad/sad memories are outweighing what should be a day of good memories only.
I guess my ramblings are to warn others not to mix your anniversary of whatever days together. Keep the good and bad separate. It might make those days when they come around a little better.

So sad and so soon. Every one takes the path differently but somehow the sun keeps coming up each day

Good advice, I hope your life is doing nothing but getting better and filled with love and friendship.
