Spoiler alert. Me going on another Caitlin Johnstone like rant. While this piece is directed towards us Americans, it also fills the description of several other countries who have played a role in those wars. Who have a longer history of colonialism and wars for profit before we had a country. Caitlin Johnstone seems to forget her own country's history of mass murder of indigenous people in her country. This illusion is a world issue benefiting a very few, creating a divide of the world population. Until we all get that it will continue to work against us, all.

Thank you for obeying your masters and corporate overlords? I won't say I don't appreciate what some of them do, but who the hell are other people to tell me what to say or how to act, and preach to me about what they think some of them do? I didn't ask them to join the military. Then they might come back with, well you didn't have to ask them. They do it anyway to protect us. Horseshit!
When I also break down the demographics of people who join the military, people get pissed at me. Some people join because they think they're doing what's right and want to protect their families and other Americans. Some join to have their schooling funded. Some join to learn a trade so they can find a job after. Some join because they have no skills out in society. Some join for the pension and health benefits. Some join because they think they're going to see the world. And this last one really gets some people pissed off: Some join because they're psychos and love to blow shit up and kill people.
I respect veterans just like I respect everyone else until they give me a reason to not respect them. My grandfather was a WWII veteran. I bet some people would say that he would be ashamed at my opinions today. Well I bet he would be the first person to slap the shit out of them and tell them to mind their own fucking business lol

Sadly too many just do not give a fuck. We are so overwhelmed with the day to day, then the government crazy, guns, bad TV and a media interested only in ratings anything real gets missed. Only when a certain level of corruption gets reached and it becomes real news does the media get to work to further divide the people. Sorry, sometimes the bullshit get me pissy.
