Religious fundamentalists and many of today’s atheists share the same approach to texts.
1of5 comments on May 4, 2019:
You forgot the most importaint part of religious texts - they are all made up bullshit. Religious fundamentalists ignore, gloss over, and bend over backwards to justify what's written. Atheists just point out how silly and contradictory the texts are.

@Matias one need only dissect a lie to see who benefits from it. Atheists know full well that the texts need to be interpreted - that's why there are so many different religions based on the same shoddy texts - interpretation . What point, excately, are you trying to make with your broad stereotyping, anyways?

@MissKathleen actually in the faq it says its mostly a manual proccess. Pretty sure admin wrote it, so I'm going with that, thanks. Wouldn't suprise me, however, if the recent redesign/site down included some additional automation. I hope it did, sounds like a tedious process. Feel good on your soapbox there?

Why would you think it's a bad thing?
1of5 replies on Apr 21, 2019:
@jeron a lack of upward mobility and/or opportunity also keeps people from working hard, or working within the rules. A free market is inherently heartless, and a society has to have a heart, or compassion, for those that are forced to start with nothing.

Oh, and you can't see posts or profiles from people with that toggled off - which, depending on how you feel about them can be a benefit. I found it annoying because you still get alerts from them. They saw overlap and tried to expand the site. Not everything works as planned, especially around here 😁 It's just a different portal to the same place. I'm sure it has the exact same security as the agnostic portal does, although depending on site hardware/software configuration/layout it may be more vulnerable to a simultaneous attack. I'd bet the site is already being mined. Hell, everything's public so just a copy paste, moderately sophisticated bot could pull up everything profile by profile and pop it into their own DB for analysis. I've always assumed *someone's* using this place to collect data.
