Are you a dog person or a cat person? (I'm a cat person)
I am a dog person - two rescues of my own, and one short termer (belongs to kid#2 - I will soon take him to kid#3 at college ). I like cats, but am somewhat allergic to them. I will say when I visit someone with cats, that the cats always seem to really like me!
I love both. I always have a dog and at least one or two cats. I prefer to have two, and at least one, a black cat. I love big dogs, but have had as little as a fifty pound dog. My current dog is a perfect 120 pound Cane Corso. I also have horses. I can't imagine life without any of them. But I love all critters. I love all the farm animals too. Pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, guineas and the donkey. All wonderful.
If I HAD to pick one I would go cat. Granted I love all animals and I'd be just as infatuated with a pet goldfish as I would a fully trained doberman.
Cats do have a level of self reliance that is very admirable compared to other pets though. There is nothing more satisfying than earning a cat's trust. Also there is nothing more heart melting than waking up to a purring kitten on your chest after a couch nap.
Cats and kittens are completely useless...so it is a complete mystery to me why I love them so.
I can't tell which door someone is knocking at , so I look at the cats . I go to the door they're looking towards . In fact I usually know which door , before they knock . They patrol the yards at night . Used to have a problem with critters drowning in the swimming pool . Cats keep them out of the yard . They also tend to dispose of snakes for me . If it's a cold night , you can bet they'll be two piled on top of me . Never feel alone , because one of mine is always up against me .
YES. I live with cats because they fit my life at the moment. I have no time for a dog right now. When push comes to shove I will always have a cat.
Cat person all the way. Dogs are great and all, but I prefer cats.
I was always a cat person... Until I was talked into taking Barnie. I would never trade him in on a cat!
I like both. They each have their own unique traits and quarks that make them equally great pets.
All animals - entered college to be a vet, but got side tracked and ended up an engineer.
But if forced to pick one over the other - dogs, specifically larger breeds of dogs that I can walk, hike, and take to enjoy off leash outside.
Reason I don't have a pet now - too much travel. Not fair to either (especially dogs) to be gone often leaving them home alone.
Dogs, Cats, Horses, Cows, Pigs, Coyotes, Hawks, Owls, Turtles, Squirrels,Deer, Turkeys and Bears from a distance.
Dogs rule cats drool LOL
No really my sister's cat drools all over the place
Cats. Always been cats. I like dogs, but, like children, only as long as I can give them back to their owners. Perpetual toddlers. I like cats’ ‘you talking to me’ approach to everything. And they’re smarter than dogs (check it out) - try and train a cat to fetch your slippers; they’ll have none of that crap. Dogs have masters/mistresses/owners - cats have staff. Tells you all you need to know.
No more pets for me though since the last one died - I can’t take it anymore.
Animals. All animals. Every species. They are my favorites.
With the exception of human-animals. Because they are the worst.
