When I had lived in Pennsylvania deer whistles were a must. Here in New Mexico, I have them on both of my vehicles. We have deer elk and the occasional gazelle running down the freeway. Last year we had a couple of badgers in the middle of the road the deer whistles even worked on them.

This is something that is so inane it is funny

Isn't this just a riot?

Plenty of deer around my area of Missouri. Almost every year somebody I know will have had a bad encounter with one that totally wrecked their car. In rare situations the deer escapes.
