Which is worse in a spouse, one who is very conservative, supportive of Trump, gun rights, lower taxes and also very religous or one who is very liberal and left wing supporting extremist like Ocasio Cortez, and is a gun control nut?

See. This is the reason why I have long conversations with those I date. No extremism neccessary.

At least liberals care about other people.

Welcome to America folks where even on agnostic.com you’re only allowed two choices.

And with that said how’s about (3) Isn’t a republican or Democrat, is somewhat religious but doesn’t give two shits about who or what other people worship as long as they kept in their personal space.
Thinks both trump and Hillary were shit choices.

Believes that a woman’s vagina should be between her, her husband and her gynecologist.
Also believes that we need gun reform not removal and that if our government isn’t going to use our tax dollars appropriately then they should have less.

That’s my wife and she wishes that people would stop being so damn political because she just wants to go shoot guns with her gay friends.?

Well said

I like to be generous in wanting good things for other humans in general, like having affordable housing and healthcare for all, even right-wingers. Same with love and relationships, things all humans need and deserve. So I don't like the premise of these binary choices. At the individual level, some people like Trump, may seem too evil or repulsive to deserve love or relationships, but that's not my call or business. Who's to say right-wingers can't or shouldn't be happy together? What's bad or worse is having someone who doesn't get you and critical, for whatever reason, of who you really are and what you value, whether you or them are right or left, because you probably should not be with them in that case.

2

Those are my choices? Seriously?

2

I don't do extremists in any direction.

That's exactly what I said. Lol

The record is clear. Reactionary right wing extremists do much more damage to individuals and to our society as a whole. But, You do not understand what is really left wing. Most liberals oppose any transgressions against democracy and abhor violence. Liberals are not authoritarian or Marxists.

If you have serious opposing outlooks, what is most important is that you respect each other's outlook by KEEPING QUIET.

If your offended maybe you should keep quiet. ?

@Trajan61 not what I meant!

@Trajan61

@Bierbasstard Touche'!!!!!!!

@AnneWimsey I’m sorry I misinterpreted your remark! My apologies!

Okay I've dealt with this kind of question before and I will give you the same response as I've given others that's like asking me to choose between being punched in the face or kicked in the nuts

I'll politely ask to get neither of them, lol!

Really your left are pussys compared to the UK and europe. If you think that Cortez is extreme?
You can tell where Trajan61 politics lie by the weighted question. Its so nuts to think that psychopaths should not have guns.

You people in England have virtually no rights when it comes to gun rights. Here in the US if someone breaks into your home you have every right to shoot them. In England your at the mercy of the criminals.

@Trajan61 You're right. They're called the Tory party.

@MrBeelzeebubbles I figured the Labour Party was the problem.

@Trajan61 " In England your at the mercy of the criminals"
English are somewhat smart. I think they originally developed a thing called a "lock" and "police" and having "good neighbors " . I heard it works ok for them.

@hippydog The police generally show up after the fact. I’ll take US gun laws over British gun laws any day.

@MrBeelzeebubbles The Torys or Tories, not sure of the spelling, are the UK counterpart of the Repubs in the US.

@TomMcGiverin yep, and since they got in roughly 10 years ago, we've seen a massive transfer of wealth from 90% to the top 10 under the auspices of 'Austerity' economics. Part of the typical conservative ideology of privatising economic gain while pushing the risk onto the state (ie. the taxpayer).
Though on most social policy, they'd be sort of equivalent to the Democrats. No mainstream party here would touch Republican social policy with a barge pole

@TomMcGiverin If you are talking strickly left and right then yes. However if you look at practical politics and policies then Obama care is privatized health care only part funded by the state. Which is very close to to Torys.
The US is by nature a conservative country. Your revolution was 242 years ago and was instigated by rich landowners not wanting to pay taxes. The UK has had a series of revolutions of differing scales. That has over its history overturned the power of the monarchy, the church and the landed aristocracy. Beneath the facade of royal weddings etc.bubbles a radical left wing whos reason dete is "eat the rich".
Take gun control for example. If it was the UK? The aftermath of Columbine would have led a campaign to repeal the 2nd amendment. This stance may not have worked completely but if enough support was generated then subsequent reforms would have been the compromise position. The US left try for small reforms and struggle.
As I type this I am watching a report on fracking. This has been a hot topic in local and national politics for the past few years. Unlike the US all the profits after the drilling company has taken its cut will go to the state, not to the local land owners. Subsequently there is little incentive for locals to want this. A very strong ground route opposition ranging from local authorities voting it down to sjws barricading drilling sites has slowed it down and made it very difficult to go ahead. Fracking will probably go on anyway but it will have to make damn sure it crosses all "T"s and dots all "I"s.

@Trajan61 You don't live here and I don't live there. I cannot say that I wold not own a gun if I was in your hood.. What I can say is that you would not need one in mine. I live close to the city center. It is quite high crime (for England) yet I do not even lock my flat door when Im home. You seem to think that you need a gun to protect yourself and property. I have been in several situations where had a gun been around I or someone else would have killed someone. I will not go into details but this was not a home invasion. Trust me that if I had a gun at the time I would be in jail right now and I know many others that would be too. Maybe thats why the USA has the biggest prison population in the 1st world?
What I cannot understand is the reasons against gun control. From what I hear its only trying to stop impulse buys, those with criminal records and/or unstable psychiatric history and the sale of assault weapons. To me that seems quite a reasonable stance. All of the no control arguments from the NRA could also be used to justify North Korea having nukes

I'll take the woman every time... Men have fucked up everything long enough

Ocasio Cortez is actually pretty hot........

And damn smart too!

@HippieChick58 She’s an idiot and very radical.

@Trajan61 I think she is exactly what is needed. We will have to agree to disagree, I'm liberal and you're, well... not. I'm excited by Ocasio Cortez and the other new Representatives. I see change in the wind.

She may be kind of hot but she has some very radical ideas.

@Trajan61 You say that like it's a bad thing.

@Trajan61 I believe we know who the idiot is in this equation.

@HippieChick58 Ocasio Cortez scares me and I think she would cause the downfall of this country

@Trajan61 And I think she is going to drag out asses out of this cesspool.

@nvrnuff It must be you because it’s definitely not me. Where you live in Texas they voted overwhelmingly for Trump.

@Trajan61 Here's a book for you to read, Jumping Off The Cliff, by Hugo First.

@Trajan61 says the radical centerist...lol..please explain Exactly whats radical about her?..a. Universal health care? Free State College tuition?Stronger E.P.A?

@Trajan61 unlike the imp in W.H that doing Such a great job..lol

@Charlene She wants to discontinue the use of all fossil fuels by 2035. She also wants to open the borders to anyone who wants to come here. That would be about 160 million more. Don’t you find that kind of radical?

@Trajan61 First off what makes you think she alone can make those happen? Those things seem relevant for someone her age, it will be their country in the future. You should get someone to pull that stick out of your ass and enjoy the rest of your life.

@Trajan61 No, what I find disturbingly Radical is putting Children in cages, giving shoot to kill order on unarmed civilians, saying Nazis are "fine people". Rolls Back environmental protects, loves that 20 million people now have No Health Insurance.
That's Rightwing Christian Radicalism..that scares me..

Few things worse than a delusional believer.

Yes, those that insulate themselves from testable truth (based on reality) with their faith (belief without evidence) are the enemies of reason.

3

I'm going with the latter of the two... lmao ?
